05/05/2015 12:15 amA throwback to the '80s – the 1880s, that is – this bucket-list Midtown steakhouse is renowned for its legendary mutton chop and powerhouse porterhouse, served in a Smithsonian-worthy setting with thousands of glorious antique clay pipes hanging from the ceiling; gracious service, top-notch private rooms and the Torah of single-malt scotch lists are further reasons why this one is up there with the best in town. |

03/10/2015 12:13 amOne of the best steakhouse in the city. Great intimate setting, unique decor, good service, food was incredible. I suggest the porterhouse for 2. It was by far one of the best I've had. The place is pricey, but worth it. |

03/04/2015 11:29 amI was visiting NY with my wife and we went there on a Friday night for dinner. We had reservations and were seated very fast. The food was delicious, one of the best stakes I have eaten in my life, and the service was great. We had a great experience and I would recommend to anyone. |

02/26/2015 12:38 pmThe steak is sick (as in excellent for the uninitiated) it was tender, cooked precisely how i ordered it. I enjoyed it so much i had to order a to go meal. I would say that the menu is a little pricey but after i tasted it i was quite alright with paying the premium. Restaurant has great staff. The atmosphere is great to bring a date. It was crowded when i went but the wait time wasn't too bad. Residents of NYC definitely need to try this out, especially if you like steak. |

02/06/2015 4:36 pmOne of the most interesting steak houses in the city, with a rich history, a fun gimmick, and high-end quality steaks (and other selections), though a bit pricey. It started as a gentlemen's club, where patrons could store their favorite pipes at the establishment, and you can still feel it; with tight, compact spaces, largely wooden-paneled decor, and a whole ceiling covered in pipes. The food really is top-notch, but you will pay for it. Service and cleanliness are on point, and everyone is exceptionally friendly, and ready to tell you the history. Would highly recommend. |
