Lula's Mexican Cafe, San Antonio, Texas, Mexican Restaurant Details

I gave Lula's this rating simply for the service I had a few moments ago. I go in a few times a week to get to breakfast tacos. Sometimes I pay cash, sometimes I pay with my debit card. This morning I was told I needed to spend $5 in order to use my debit card. Told the server I have paid in the past with my card...she turns and looks at me and says "I doubt that". She then tells me today was her first day. Why would you treat a customer like that, especially if it was your first day. Sorry, but I will never be going back. I have been eating at Lula's for 10 years. Cannot believe I was called a liar in front of other patrons.

Authentic Mexican food in the heart of downtown. Friendly staff, and Lula is right with them. It's clean and inexpensive. The rice is of the quick cook kind. You can't be afraid of real Mexican food, grease and all. Just sit down and enjoy!
