"Hiding in plain sight" on the fringes of TriBeCa, this "charming" trattoria delivers a "magic combination" of "savory" Tuscan farm cuisine and "attentive" service amid "rustic" surrounds; the experience is "not cheap", but given the "high quality", insiders still consider it a "deal."

Amazing ambience and food! Could not decide what to order! But the cheesecake is a must to top off any meal! Buon Appetito!

There wasn't even one dish that didn't taste good. This is seriously the best Italian - Sicilian restaurant I tried. Some of the staff was Italian which was nice.
The only thing bad was that even with reservation we had to wait for a very long time to get a table.

This is a great italiana restaurant. Food is delicious and there is a good selection of wine for all tastes. Try the limone pasta, beautiful!

Tribeca has many good italian restaurants, but none better than pepolino. Every aspect is perfect.

Best Italian food to date!!! If you don't read any further. Get the Ricotta Cheesecake.

We ordered:
Pear and Endive Salad, which was perfectly balanced not over dressed and great mix of flavors. Paired well with a Pinot Grigio

Beet Salad, which was amazing everything was perfectly cooked and the texture made an amazing salad even better.

Special: Pasta of the day (Fettuccine w. Italian Sausage, Broccoli Rabe in a Garlic and Olive Oil sauce), great portion size for pasta and every bite was delicious.

Special: Meat combination (Braised Beef Short Rib with a Balsamic Reduction Sauce and Stuffed Leg of Lamb with Prosciutto and Artichokes plus Polenta and Spinach) Lamb and Beef were perfectly cooked, polenta was cooked and seasoned to perfection. Paired nicely with a Villa Sardia red blend.

Dessert: Ricotta Cheesecake, Strawberry Panna Cotta, Flourless Dark Chocolate Torte. The Ricotta Cheesecake was like eating dreamy clouds of heavenly goodness. Panna Cotta had perfect texture and Strawberry Sauce such a fresh Taste. Chocolate Torte paired perfectly with the Cappuccino and Latte to finish.

Staff were so attentive without being over bearing. Artie made our night even more special. Meeting Enzo on the way out sealed the deal. Will find it hard not to come back to this place every single time we are back in NYC. You would be crazy not to try it.
