05/02/2015 3:24 pmPower brokers seal deals while others mark special occasions at these steakhouses known for top-notch beef prepared with care and impressive wines delivered by pro staffers in refined, contemporary rooms; the Chrysler Center locale is particularly splendid, but they're all a splurge. |

10/22/2014 9:56 amI was a Capital Grille regular, but was deeply disappointed by our experience at this location, which likely will not survive. 8PM Tuesday reservation for 2, the property was about at 60% full. Got menus but no wine list from the seating host(at table 25). Waited about 10 minutes for the waiter to show. He asked us for drinks, and I asked for a wine list. 5 minutes later he gives me the wine list. 10 minutes later he reappears and we order the wine and meals. Wine gets promptly delivered in an ice bucket at the table. A few minutes later the waiter shows and opens and pours the wine. Appetizer arrives and it is delicious. Waited another 20 minutes for the entres. My first bite of lobster tail was cold, and I flash down another waiter to complain. He takes my plate, but not the other entre to keep it warm so we can eat together. My girlfriend starts her entre while I wait for my entre to be zapped. 5 minutes later mine reappears. While waiting for my entre to be zapped a bus boy flashes by the table and grabs our bread plates and bread before we have finished. I protest and he says he will bring more bread, which he does, without clean bread plates. I ask for them when my zapped meal arrives. Long after our meals are finished and bussed, a new waiter appears with a desert menu and says our original waiter is busy. The new waiter also brings the bill. The first waiter waives us a goodbye and thanks as we get up from the table and leave. |

01/05/2014 6:53 pmMy boyfriend and I came to the Capital Grille for his birthday. Aside from a winter storm that was due to hit later in the evening, the staff did everything possible to make it an evening to remember. When we were seated at our table, there was a handwritten note wishing him a happy birthday. We then received complimentary champaign to further celebrate. Our waiter, Brian, gave us exceptional service, making sure everything was to our liking. The Calamari appetizer was indescribably delicious. Then, after an amazing dinner of the Porcini rubbed Delmonico steak, Jim was presented with a Happy Birthday plate of dessert, and we headed back to the hotel with a photograph that Brian had taken of us. |

11/04/2013 12:02 pmIt's Capital Grille. What more is there to say? You want some of the best steak/seafood of your life? You come here! I've been to the location near the Chrysler Bldg and recently this one. Incredible service, amazing meal, and a wonderful atmosphere. Jon was incredibly patient and attentive to our large and rather rowdy group. I'll definitely be back here. |
