Half pint is one of my favorite places to go when I am in the area. Wait staff is always helpful, but the best part is their beer menu. Lots to choose from across many different countries. Occasionally can be packed with NYU crowd but I can usually find a table when I go there. Did my birthday in the back area one year and it was a good time.

Shame on this place!!! We walked by this place on July 25, 2014 around midnight after seeing a comedy show. We are 2 couples in our thirties and our friend Mary is 6 month (visibly) pregnant and asked if she could use their restroom. The bouncer said no. In shock we asked again and said she's pregnant and he didn't care and said no. Shame on the bouncer and this bar for not having the decency to help out a pregnant woman. I hope they read this and realize how wrong that was and have a heart next time this happens.

Great beer selection and friendly staff makes this an easy choice for a pint. The interior layout is roomy and you don't feel like you're jammed in or sitting on top of each other. The buffalo wings are about as close as authentic as you're likely to find in NYC, but the rest of their food offerings were not noteworthy. The burger, while impressive in presentation with a giant steak knife protruding out of it like Excalibur, was over-cooked (was seeking medium rare but found medium) and lacking even a hint of char on the outside.

This is a solid bar with food, drinks, friendly atmosphere with a bit dim lighting, and TVs for games. It was a bit crowded, but I was there with the happy hour crowd, so not surprised. I'd recommend it particularly if you enjoy a good beer selection.
