08/11/2015 10:20 pmTo many other companies in the area willing to offer great food. Was tempted by the name and idea that they would create a great experience. Nothing special to this place other then the fact it has history pictures on the wall showing the development of Oceanside California. Further up the street are places that will make an effort to keep you coming back. |
Food:
07/13/2015 9:28 pmMostly a gimmick for hipsters and nostalgics. Was served by friendly staff for breakfast, though the food is probably a closer approximation to 1950s cuisine than you may like, it makes little attempt to fit modern standards of nutrition. The evening meal service was outright unfriendly, so can easily be avoided. |

08/21/2014 12:24 pmThis place is a little confusing since it's located in the hotel. It's your typical old school diner where time stopped in 1975 - and I don't mean in that kitschy way where it's decorated with 70's memorabilia. It's really outdated, but I love it. Last time I came here I saw Tony, the bass player from No Doubt. Expect to bump into under the radar celebs here. As far as the food, it's your typical run of the mill diner food with fries, club sandwiches, milkshakes, and burgers. Great for a 2 am snack. I usually come out here for the chocolate brownie waffle a la mode - cause ice cream makes everything better. |

Food:
08/29/2015 2:30 am"Diner kitsch in its highest form" serves as a "hipster", "celebrity" and "tourist" magnet at this "late-night" Hollywood Hills hang that dishes up plentiful portions of "spot-on" American coffee-shop eats, plus some "mean" java and "amazing" milkshakes at "fair prices"; an "enthusiastic" staff keeps it "vibrant", so it's "always hopping" whether curing "hangovers" in the morning or "getting them started" in the first place. |
