Venue is ok. Bartender upstairs was rude all because I asked for a cherry vodka sour...they're not hard to make. Don't see myself coming back.

This place is pretty large. The line may seem like it's too long but it moves fast. Three different levels with a lot of bars.

I would recommend checking it out.

Pretty typical club experience. They do have four floors, so on any given night there are multiple acts going, so you can bail on one show and hit up another without ever having to go outside. I was there for a pretty big name, so it was absolutely packed and there were people running into me, but that's pretty typical of going to a rave and doesn't really have much to do with the venue itself. When I went, they even had themed drinks around the headliner of the night, which was a nice touch. They weren't ridiculously overpriced, either, which I was pleasantly surprised by, and the bartenders managed to be pretty quick and keep up with the demand and the large crowd. That alone was an impressive feat. The bar is cash only, though. I did read there was an ATM inside, but I didn't look for it, since I came prepared.

Variety is the key at this big black box of a dance club (voted Most Popular nightspot in San Francisco), a long-standing SoMa staple where the young, energetic crowd could get lost in the myriad of rooms offering diverse beats; there's not a lot to the place in terms of style and some acts can be pricey, but top-flight DJs and a spot-on sound system keep it going until the wee hours (open Fridays and Saturdays only).
