04/03/2015 1:19 pmNot worth it. If you say you are serving omakase and handing out crappy sushi, you are just speaking for yourself in terms of what kind of restaurant you are. At 35 dollars for lunch, maybe it should not even be called omakase. But at the same price, you can get top quality sushi from restaurants and Yasuda or Kuruma Sushi For lunch. |

07/25/2014 2:25 pmThis place is incredible. I am hesitant to rave about it quite simply because I want it to myself and the quiet ambiance is one of its finest qualities. However the beautiful, quietly elegant ambiance and the delicious food are both second to their first rate staff. |

07/04/2014 9:30 pmNot sure what the hype and michelin star are about. Yes the sushi is fresh, mushy, and yummy. But it is over priced for what it is. I came here twice. The last time I order the omakase with SUSHI and SASHIMI. That was 110 with only 16 pieces...! thats like an appetizer! Holy cow I was still hungry... probably hungry for some cow meat :) |

03/14/2013 7:19 pm“Master” sushi chef Masato Shimizu’s “elemental” preparations of “amazingly fresh” fish are the “sublime” stars at this “minimalist-chic” Union Square Japanese whose “first-class kitchen” also assembles “excellent” cooked dishes; the “refined” experience is overseen by an “attentive” “pro” staff, and though the experience concludes with an “astonishing” bill, to most “it’s totally worth it.” |
