Really enjoyed the music, happy hour, wings galore and awesome decor of this place. 55 cent wings most days and 25 cent on Mondays.

I want to give 1849 a bad review because I frequent there quite often, and that's what a sane-minded person would do to ward others away. Truthfully, it's one of my favorite spots in West Village.
Do you know how you sometimes stand at the bar, and the bartender asks you what you want, and you tell them, and they tell you to ask for something else? That doesn't happen here. The bartenders actually know how to make your drink. They're fun too. They want to have a good time as much as you do; so if you're fun, they're fun.
The scene feels a bit more East Village than West Village, and I mean that in the best possible way. You're allowed to wear t-shirts as long as you've been to the gym in the past ten years. They have plenty of tables and chairs, if that's your thing. Me, I tend to hang around the bar. They play music (the playlist can sometimes be suspect) but it's never loud enough to get in the way of a good conversation. They also have promos, happy hours, and wings nights.
Go to 1849 if you're fun, friendly, and want to have a good time. Otherwise, pick up a dart and throw it anywhere else.

Over-priced bar with many better options around the corner on MacDougal. They denied entrance to my friends visiting NYC on a weeknight because they had bags with them. Not going to return here.

Love the ambiance of this place. You can choose to sit on the comfy couches or hang out at the bar, which ever suites your mood. The server was super nice, and was very attentive. Every time our glasses were empty, she was close by to take our next order. Drinks are decently priced. DJ could've been a little better (it was a Saturday night and I expected a little more variety and better sound). The food was ok too. The chicken quesadilla was pretty good, however, their cheesecake needed a little more umph. It was a little dry and needed some strawberry dressing or even caramel.

Overall I had a great night. I'd def go back!
