06/21/2012 7:01 pmI recently went to 19th a few Sunday's ago. The bartender took my card to start a tab. It was my bday so my friends closed the tab out. When i went back to the bar to get my tab they told me they didn't have it. I said you have to have it you never gave it back. They told me i never gave it to them. They said the original bartender who had left told them i never gave her a card. I waited for them to physically look for the card. They said i had to wait till almost closing time for them to go through and look. I fussed until they did it before. When they found the card in the credit card box where you would put credit cards (duh). He took the card and ran it. I asked why he charged my card. He said i had a tab. I said you just told me my friends closed the tab and that i never gave you a card. why are you running my card. he said sorry but you have a tab. then he finally gives me my card with a charge slip. I reported it to my bank but i wont be going back. i feel like they were gonna keep the card and charge what they wanted. |

03/04/2012 8:40 pmThe place is an absolute JOKE! The owners and Management (new) have absolutely no respect for the employees. The owners actually hav a civil suit pending due to non payment of wages to some employees. If you want to support these practices, this is the place for you. If not, Elephant & Castle is a great alternative. |

02/23/2012 10:15 pmThis was one of my favorite after work spots in the city. After a recent change in management, it has fallen a few spots on my list. The drinks and atmosphere are still pretty good but it's definitely lost its local bar feel and seems to be heading towards a more corporate place. |
