Top 10 Rules of engagement when karaoking with Jenn include the following of Do Not Attempts(to sing with me if):

1. you don't actually know the song
2. you're too shy and low and no one can hear you anyway
3. you're too loud and now everyone can only hear you
4. you have zero musicality and are screwing up the song
5. cats and dogs whimper in agony whenever you try
6. you can't hang for a whole marathon's worth (2-8 pm)
7. your favorite last song is "It's My Life." Because it's not your life; it's Bon Jovi's. And because we are not at the same sad club where it's last call and time to head home.
8. you like to input Will Smith songs, but abandon it halfway into the song
9. you're not going to partake in the singing, and think it's perfect timing to have long and meaningful conversations with your neighbor
10. you're on your cell phone texting vehemently. this is a cell-free zone, buddy

I've been coming here for years, and Duet 35 usually does not fail me even if my companions sometimes do. They have since expanded this location and there are new rooms available. The staff has been slacking in the song updating department, but they are never more than 2 months behind. Their franchise is still the best place for private rooms. At $12 or $14/per person/per hour, it's a steal for mic hogs who can't seem to "let it go, let it go, and I'll rise like the break of dawn."

Somewhat decent English song selection and Happy Hour specials are pretty great. $4/ hr from 4-8pm? What's not to love?

The staff is pleasant and helpful, but the karaoke system is appalling. First of all, the lyrics are botched. Secondly, as the lyrics are rolling, in the background are some very odd asian music videos that have nothing to do with any of the music or the mood thereof. My friend's Samsung messed up the remote system because it lay too close to the remote. So, while her phone is high-tech, their system leaves much to be desired.

A perfect place for girl's night, after-work fun with coworkers, or just killing some time with a few friends. The rooms are clean, the service is great, and the price is fair. They let you bring food in from the outside, and the drinks are pretty fairly priced too.

We came on a Sunday afternoon, which is probably why the place wasn't full and we didn't had to book a room ahead of time. Except that, it was a really fun experience!
The price was really good, and there was no drink minimum.
The songs selection were pretty good, but the room was a bit small.
Overall - I would definitely come back!
