01/15/2015 7:33 amI've only tried the pizza here and its not very good. Tastes like frozen pizza from a supermarket. A surprisingly large interior, family run place with very strict "rules" about what you can eat where (can't eat pizza in the large dining area), which gives a negative vibe. People in the neighborhood say they're nice here once you get to know them, and that the food is good, just not the pizza. |

09/08/2014 10:55 amThis is my favorite place to get pizza in the city. The pizza's great, and I love the way this old restaurant still stands among all the new construction happening in the area. It's always a pleasure to walk into this mom and pop diner and feel right at home. |

07/12/2014 4:41 pmWe were there yesterday and were very disappointed! First, the pizza was ok, but the waitress said no to extra sauce :(, which we did get some in the end after asking the one of the cooks, but the salad for $14.95 was very sad! It was Lettuce and meat for $14.95 a lot over priced and the beef we couldn't even eat as most of it was gristley and no other veggies. Then to realize that there was no debit or credit and then had to pay an extra $2.50 on top of our $36 for an ok slice pizza a piece and not so good salad, let alone with the baklava we needed a steak knife for, as it was Nuked in the microwave. We wont be coming back there ever! We will be going to little Italy for pizza next time we are in the city! Sorry just wasn't a good experience after a very long day of walking! Only because I have to give it a star to have this review visible it is getting a 1 star. :( :( |

04/04/2014 1:42 pmExpensive and very poor quality food. Dire need of renovation. How it got a 3.9 is beyond me. Go for a single slide of mediocre pizza at the most, anything more will disappoint. |

10/24/2013 9:31 pmI'm from Germany living next to the pizza restaurant and I never tried it until my brother-in-law ordered here during his holidays and I've to say that it doesn't look like a 'awesome' pizza restaurant from outside but they make real good - even if not brick oven - pizza. But be aware their 'standard' pizza is more like a XL-XXL one but still costs less (a hawaii is about $26. A simple salami $18). Has a nice, clean and comfy dining room in the rear. Check it out. The people are nice and you can still order a pizza while they are closing. |
