We love 50 plates. We have been for lunch, dinner and happy hour. Very simple creations all based on wonderful comfort food. Get there on a sunny day to take advantage of their outdoor seating.

After dinner they brought us a spoon of dark chocolate ganache. Oh man. That was epic.

Great atmosphere! We found this place by accident and what a wonderful surprise! The food was superb. We also had 4 different drinks from the cocktail list. Wow, everything was amazing. Service and ambiance were also exceptional. We will definitely return!

A great, very reasonable happy hour with some amazing small plates. The pulled pork sliders were great, as were the hush puppies. The bar area is a bit cramped and can get crowded so get there early. Toss in some affordable great house cocktails and a clean and colorful setting and you may have found your new favorite Pearl happy hour.

Great small plates and good cocktails. They have a late night happy hour that hits the spot. The food is high quality with a good selection, though the prices are high for the portion size. Good wine selections, like Patricia Green for the wine of the day.

My wife and I headed over to 50 Plates after a evening cocktails at an open house for one of the local high tech companies last Saturday. We made reservations for 8:30pm. Kind of late for us to eat and by this time we were pretty starving espcially my wife.

The decor was really nice, intimate, and modern. It took a while for our waiter to come by and first greet us. We just ordered waters (one sparkling and one flat) since we had 2 or 3 drinks at the open house and the each water came in its own clear 750ml bottle. That was great since by the end of dinner we both had almost finished off the entire bottle. After getting the water we immediately ordered our dinner, we both decided to have the fish and chips and I got a small bowl of the chowder. The chowder came pretty quickly. It was different then most chowders I think of but it was pretty tasty even though I'm not a big fresh clam and mussles guy. I love them when they are cooked in a soup for a long time but not fresh steamed ones. Anyways, it was a pretty nice soup, good flavor and definitely fresh!

Then after finishing the soup it took sooo long to get our entrees! It was at least an hour since we ordered our dinner for it to finally come to our table and guess what? They messed up my wifes order. She hates onions, scallions, leeks, green onions, etc. and they had put scallions all over the top of the food and the plate. Waiter came by, admitted that he messed up and went to have another one made. About 10 minutes later my wife finally got her entree. She and I both really enjoyed it! Great food, okay service even though our server was really nice. No discount or anything taken off for the mistake. Will probably go again to see if the service is any better.
