Came here for a date and really loved this bar! The ambience and decor are pretty ideal for an intimate and casual meeting with friends. And they have a pretty extensive beer menu that's not too pricey.

The space is open and the front usually opens to the sidewalk so you can peep in next time you're going to trader joes. I came here on a Saturday night at 8 and there was barely anyone here. There are long oak tables and the bar is candlelit for that whole Brooklyn organic/industrial look. The only thing is that you can tell it would get loud if packed because my date and I talked louder than we normally would even though there weren't too many people there.

Great place for American, simple comfort food in a very open and relaxed bar environment. No table service and they won't serve you coffee after 5, but the craft beer selection is enough to keep you awake. And anyone behind the bar knows their stuff. Feel free to test them; they are honest and right about the beers, and won't steer you toward something you won't like just because they have an old keg of it. A must visit spot for beer and grub in Brooklyn.
