Cinq-stars all around for A Food Affair. The ambiance is great, the food is delicious, the service is spectacular, and there is no corkage fee for outside wine/beer.

All in all making this place 'spectaculaire'. On top of that, the chef is passionate about his dishes and checks in on each and every table during the meal. I can't say enough good things about this place and will definitely be back again soon.

Here's a quick breakdown of our meal: Mushroom Tourte - nice earthy flavors and a good way to start off Escargot - not the traditional way of serving escargot but with baked potato shells Lamb Shank (Special) - well cooked and seasoned Beef Bourguignon - My favorite dish of the night - hearty french beef stew served with fresh pappardelle pasta

A small French Bistro style restaurant with a charming outdoor patio right next to a bigger Italian restaurant.

The ambiance and style immediately brings back memories of the neighborhood gems in Paris.

Apparently they don't serve alcohol, but you can bring your own bottle of vino easily. No beer either. Sort of strange for a French restaurant not to have wine!!??

Simply put the menu reflects traditional French bistro fare and my group pretty much stuck to those perennial favorites:
- escargot arrived in a savory, creamy butter sauce out of their shells
- eggplant bruschetta was my favorite appetizer, where the eggplant and peppers served as yummy jelly on the toasted bread
- seafood bouillabaisse had substantial chunks of well-cooked fish and shellfish and while the saffron broth complemented the seafood well with a light taste, I was personally looking for a more flavorful aroma and taste

Great place to catch up with friends. Obvious date place. and the Chef came out to personally ask how all our dinners were, which added to a wonderful dining experience.

Great cozy little French place! And for the record, I had the rib eye (medium) and it was perfect--one of the best steaks I've ever had! The apple tart with pecan ice cream was also delicious-we'll definitely be back!
