Love the bbq but the service is terrible. Called to place an order to be left on hold for 15 minutes.

Today I ordered Togo food from this place (hickory hill location) that I have been getting food from since 2009. I don't go here weekly, But over a time span of a year I would say I visit the place over 10-12 a year. So I ordered my Togo food the lady on the phone had zero personality and was very short with me while I was ordering my food.

When I come to pick up my food, There was a lady getting ready to wipe down the front door window and she was extremely sweet. She greeted me and held the door open. I wish I could say the same for the lady at the counter, I barely got an hello. After paying for my food and tipping 15%. Luckily, I decided to check my bag to make sure that everything was in there.

Well, she forgot the peach cobbler. Which is alright because I caught the mistake. But she looked like she could of careless about the mistake. Finally I get home and one of my food order was made incorrectly. This isn't the first time a situation like this has occurred.Mistakes happen and that's okay, where the problem comes in is when the establishment doesn't appreciate the customer (especially when the customer is spending there own money).

The food in my opinion is the best bar-b-q place in Memphis. But I think that after this last incident I rather drive out the way to central, corky's, or any other bar-b-q place in town then to ever give this place money again. I can deal with great food and mediocre customer service, but I can't deal with great food, terrible customer service and making food incorrectly/ forgetting to put food in the bag.

Which is sad because I love supporting family owned businesses, but if they don't care then why should I? I'll just take my money elsewhere.

I tried to place an order over the phone and the person put me on hold for over 11 minutes. When I arrived I spoke with the person at the counter her response when I mention to her the issue "oh, I just came in at 3 pm". No accountability, definite lack of customer service skills. I will never patronized this business again because of this experience. You want to support certain business but because the poor customer it forces you to take your businesses else where. Horrible experience!!!

Good Bar-B-Q, steep prices. I haven't had the pleasure of trying a plate but the price is a tad high (right at $10 w/tax) when I know I can't do the sides justice. I don't want to pay that much for food I won't eat.

I tried their pulled-pork sandwich, which is good, but I don't want my coleslaw on the sandwich; mest be a Memphis thing. I do like the flavor of their barbq sauce, just wish more of it had landed on the sandwich instead of the wrapper.

Service is usually rather slow, but surprisingly, they were on it today.
