04/20/2015 3:03 pmFish 'n' chips fanciers say this cleverly named West Village hole-in-the-wall does a jolly good rendition of the British staple for an affordable sum; anti–health food treats like deep-fried candy bars fill out the greasy bill, but since there's no decor and seating's just a few stools, most get the goods to go. |

10/27/2014 9:19 pmIt's been said before that you can't get real fish & chips out side of Old Blighty. I heartily disagree. The fish is delicious, the chips tasty and the deep fried chocolate bars (which are seasonal; sometimes Mars bars, sometimes Cadbury Creme Eggs) are all exactly what you might find at a street cart or lunch cafe in London. |

10/05/2014 7:28 pmI have not had much fish and chips in my time, but I would assume this is the standard (high standard) for fish and chips. You can choose from a variety of fish and I also recommend the giant battered banger. Everything is very rich and delicious. I recommend of your not on a diet |

09/08/2014 5:45 pmI supposed you can call these authenitc Fish and Chips. You can choose which fish, I had the haddock. The batter isn't overly seasoned. Add a little malt vinegar and you're all set. If you're "serious" about fisih and chips, this is place to go. Possibly the only one in the city. |
