A Taste Of Thai, Anchorage, Alaska Restaurant Details

Paneeta has a tremendously delicious menu. This Thai restaurant is genuinely authentic, clean, with great ambiance. My favorite dish is Golden Mountain Chicken. But her fried rice is the best-- so tender and moist; it doesn't matter if it's pineapple, or chicken fried rice it's wonderfully prepared. I love 'A Taste of Thai'. Sadly I'm moving out of state. I will miss this Alaskan 'A Taste of Thai'. Thank you Paneeta!

I ordered the pineapple rice and was presented with raisin rice? Hmmmm, white rice with black raisins... NOT appetizing and NOT what I ordered. Yuck!!

Got 2 lunch specials, chicken Pad Thai and Sweet & Sour Pork, at $11 each. Pad Thai was a great quantity but flavor was not quite right, very bland. Sweet & Sour Pork had very little pork (6 bites) and was mostly onion, pickles(wtf?) carrot & pineapple, flavor was bland and overall portion was small. Spring rolls tasted like they were fried in old oil-very distinct stale taste & the Dipping sauce was unlike any I've ever had, it was clear with 2 tiny specks of red pepper. This was the worse Thai food I've had in Anchorage or anywhere.

first i should say i don't eat a lot of thai food, but i do like it. everything we had was good fresh and fast, but there was nothing that puts this place in the 'excellent' category. we did take-out, so can't say anything about the sit-down service, but the restaurant looked quite clean (which inspires confidence and which i, regretfully, can't say about many of the asian restaurants i've been to over the years. and don't flame me for this! it's an honest observation.) and well appointed. the service was quick and friendly as mentioned below. i wouldn't call this the best thai food in anchorage, since 'thai kitchen' is also good, but it's certainly better than most.
