I thought the food here was delicious! The food is Chinese-American and served family style, though I think the portions could be a little bigger for what you're paying for.

My roommate and I ordered the green beans in chili paste and the sea bass. The sea bass was delicious, though I don't know if it was meant to be shared because it looked like a single serving. It was crispy on the outside, and cooked well on the inside The green beans were sweet with a little bit of spice.

I also really liked the Batman decor! I thought it was weird, but definitely amusing and a conversation starter.

Let me just say that this place is awesome. In addition to the food being absolutely tantalizing to your taste buds, the service is simply impeccable. If you're looking for a simply delicious meal with a cozy and low-key dining atmosphere, then I'd highly recommend giving Abacus a shot.

Campy decor and music (synth renditions of broadway tunes and the theme from the Godfather) played over our Egg White and Crab meat with Spinach, Chicken Katsu and Chow Mein. My favorite was the Katsu, though the Egg White and Crab was interesting. Skip the Chow Mein--spaghetti noodles in soy sauce was more or less what it amounted to. The service was a bit slow, especially for a slow night (there were maybe 3 other couples there) and, really, the prices were pretty high for what it was.

The Asian-patron-to-white-patron ratio is a mysteriously accurate indicator of the quality of a Chinese restaurant: low ratio is bad, high ratio is good. On the night we went, it was 0:8. We risked it anyway.

The "garlic noodles" were SPAGHETTI noodles! This was almost offensively wrong.

The curry was boring. How do you make boring curry?

Gorden Ramsay needs to kick some ass in here.

The place is not a lost cause: The service wasn't bad and the decor was fun and unique. But it's not worth it for the price.

We had an amazing time there. We were out late in the city and looking for a place to eat. We found this and that it was get. The staff was so nice and the food was amazing.
