I want to say that these are not the best baos ever... they really are probably the best baos in Sacramento (really... seriously!) they remind me of what baos used to taste like, plus ordering ahead is a great option and they seem very easy to deal with to me, maybe I have always caught them on the right days? no issues here.
Sometimes I just really need a good boa, now I know where to go.

DELICIOUS food! Wow! Baked or steamed, their buns are fresh and tasty. I also like their red bean moon cakes. I stop by this little shop every time I am in the area. They don't always have everything and the shop can get crowded, but the food is worth it. Great prices too!

Went in yesterday about 4:15PM which supposedly they close at 5PM. As soon as I get up to the register they lady manning the register says only pork bao left. I see they have 6 baked buns left. So I get 4 and the person after me gets the last two. On my way out I see they some sui mai and har gao along with the sticky rice chicken. Well F* me I had to get back in line at this point there were 2 people in front of me. I wish they weren't so rude.

So today I called them to ask if they have any lemon rolls. They guy that answered the phone says he doesn't know and to check back about 2-3PM. I simply asked the person how often they get that item in as I don't see it behind the counter that often he keeps say he doesn't know. I persist in asking again to get an idea the frequency of delivery (I assume it's delivered as opposed to them making that item) and the person hangs up on me. Maybe it's a communications problem but simply F*ing rude.

On another incident I came in to get some sticky rice with chicken. Lady asks if that's it, so I ask if she has any pineapple buns. She asks how many, I say 4. I don't know if she was too busy talking to someone else but when I went to pay for it and I walk out the door, I was thinking that was cheap for all that stuff. Well she forgot the buns. Didn't even bother to go back in to ask for it again at least I wasn't charged for the item.

I remember another time as I pulled up someone else was leaving with his order. After I got my order and started walking out, they apparently messed up his order somehow. They should just hire some teenager like the OLD Chopsticks Express at least they're competent and friendly.

My understanding is that it has changed ownership at least three times now. I don't know if it's a cost savings thing or just plain laziness but their baked BBQ pork buns don't have honey basted on them like they're traditionally served.

Amazing food, great Boas, top notch, Great prices too. I get them by the dozen when I can. They also sell them frozen! The people are nice and the area is secluded so no annoying people pop up and ruin it's ambiance. I love this place, a must go to!!
