Food:
06/10/2016 11:21 amSpicy, flavorful Ethiopian dishes are eaten with your hands and meant to be shared at this low-key Spruce Hills stalwart where the relaxed vibe and the sweetest staff make you feel like you're stepping into someone's living room; the upstairs bar, Fiume, offers great cocktails and beer, and while a few grouse about leisurely service, most agree the fare is well worth the waits. |

02/23/2016 12:05 amCall ahead. Abyssinia was not open today, Monday, for lunch, despite what Google reviews say. I'll try it some other time. Ignore the stars I had to give to post this. |
Food:
01/27/2016 11:48 amAbyssinia is a nice, reasonably-priced Ethiopian restaurant. The place is clean, lit just dimly enough to not be dingy, and is quiet enough to allow a pleasant over-dinner conversation. The food is fantastic! My friends got the platters so that they could sample multiple options and I got the 'Doro Wot' - a spicy chicken which tasted a lot like chicken cooked Indian-style - and all of us loved our food. |
Food:
11/16/2015 4:27 pmVery slow service. I've been here multiple time and it usually takes 15-20 minutes from when you are ready to leave, to actually leave. However, the food is tasty, filling, and cheap. This is my go-to Ethiopian restaurant. |

08/21/2015 9:23 pmDelicious food, a beautiful restaurant, but service is SO SLOW. I have been here multiple times and it always takes at least 40 minutes to receive my food - and that's only when ordering two regular dishes with a friend, nothing crazy. When I came here with three other people, it took over an hour of sitting there with nothing but water glasses that never went refilled! |
