02/17/2015 5:26 pmExtremely disappointed that I was unable to taste the delicious food that everyone raved about. My boyfriend booked a reservation for us on Valentine's Day. We arrived 5 minutes early and were told that they were running 30-45 minutes behind. Once we gave our name, they said we could check our coats and have a drink at the bar. |

08/15/2013 12:21 amGranted it was a Monday but we were the only party at lunch. Deserted. The maitre d' told us about the restaurant's problems with Verizon. For one-third the price you can eat exactly the same fare in Little Italy. Watch out for the bathrooms -- you have to go to a dungeon type basement and risk your life. |

05/12/2013 2:47 amThis TriBeCa Italian eatery has always been a lunch favorite. The experience begins with waiters who describe the fare with exquisite expertise that you can almost savor the flavors the dishes they describe. With your first bite, you're immediately transported to Italy. The flavors harmonize and cause your tastebuds wanting more. |

08/24/2012 10:27 pmWe just had the best dining experience we have enjoyed in 20 years! Acappella is an incredible gem. The meal was impeccable, the service exquisite and ambiance superb. Who would have expected this world class experience from such an understated and simple entrance. Blown away....and going back for seconds tomorrow night! What a wonderful surprise. |

05/07/2012 1:35 pmMy pasta special was delicious and unique. But my partner's lamb was medium-well when he ordered medium-rare, which I consider a prime offense. I encouraged him to send it back, but we never got the opportunity to do so, and we were there on a coupon, so his rationale was to suck it up. I'm assured that it was tasty anyway. We both loved the trimmings more than the entrees: parmesean scooped out of the rind, fresh crusty bread, wilted greens, spicy fried starches. |
