I was just recommending this restaurant to a friend moving to San Diego and I was shocked to see the mediocre reviews. I have been to this location as well as he Florence location on a number of occasions. This isn't your garbage "Italian" place is Olive Garden or any other bs chain. Enjoy the house made pasta and the world renowned blueberry an strawberry filet mignon. When all is said and done - check out the cheese and honey desert ... Enjoy!

Absolutely outstanding Italian cuisine. We will return Again.
Great wine list and traditional Italian home cooking.
Do not forget to try the Porterhouse Steak.

So... I thought I wasn't the biggest fan of Italian food in general until I went here! The amazingness of authentic Italian is incredible, far from what I guess I was used to from the places that cater more to the masses. The blueberry sauce on the steak I had was freaking fantastic, I wanted to kiss my steak, lick the plate and just rub the sauce all over me cuz I was enjoying it so much! Plus, the staff is really cool and even though parking can be a hassle, it's totally worth it!

Its not your typical Italian place. Everything is ala cart even pasta cost extra. We asked for cheese on chicken they said no but they offered eggplant parm. If u are told its Italian be aware it is not a true american Italian place. I feel I got taken for a ride and will not return

Everyone cleaned their plate and thought their food had been delicious. We had two orders of their signature filet with balsamic reduction, porcini riso(tto), salad trio, and another pasta.
Ended with a chef's choice dessert sampler (chocolate cake, pana cotta, cheesecake, tiramisu), and an extra order of tiramisu.

Everything tasted lovely. We sat outside and the weather and atmosphere were nice. Server was friendly, gracious, and knowledgable.
