We enjoyed a glass of wine and a nice selection of salumi. Truth is the host/manager was as integral in our time there as anything else. He made the visit worthwhile.

I've had one very good meal, all others have been nice but not worth the price. The wife thinks they don't vary the menu enough. Other complaints I've heard -- the pasta can be surprisingly mediocre. For the money, there are better, more special restaurants to go to.

You have got to be kidding me. We paid $34 for the steak with blueberry sauce and it came with NOTHING.The waiter should have told us and he kept clearin the table when we wern't finished Our beef ragu and veggie ragu were good but way over priced. I'd never go back

Went to the speakeasy upstairs. Didn't know what to expect so it was great.
Rose- Syrah $8. Full, fruity, juicy. If you don't like sweeter Rose's, this is not for you.

This dark, brick-walled Florentine outpost on Capitol Hill exudes warm energy enhanced by its authentic Tuscan pastas (served al dente with unique sauces) and steaks (especially the mind-blowing blueberry sauced filet); the menu also offers try-out samplers of popular dishes, and if dinner is a bit expensive, the $20 three-course lunch is a good way to try it on a budget.
