This "casual" UWS Italian "staple" keeps it simple and "satisfying" with a "dependable" outlay of "really good" brick-oven pizzas and "hearty" trattoria standards; "reasonable" prices, "friendly" service and convenience to Symphony Space make the "uninspired" decor easy to overlook.

Food:

A low-key spa that is clean and has lots of staff to accomodate walk-ins for nail and waxing services. While facials and massages are also available, both services are rather medicore, especially considering the prices. Frequent promotions, however, are available (through extended spa "week", loyalty discounts and group buying vouchers).

Found out they are affiliated with townhouse spa which is my fav. So glad there's such a great spa by me now. I like the back and foot massage the best.

Went in for the advertised $180 massage, left with a $300+ bill. Same service almost double the price. Make sure you double/triple check everything before you book, otherwise they'll charge you way more than advertised! If you like added charges with a subpar massage, then this place is for you. Otherwise, don't go.

Oh yeah, and make sure you time your service too. Paying almost double the advertised price for a "70" minute massage (read 55 minutes) is absurd.

I'm a 34 y/o professional and was wandering through Union Square today, window shopping. I stopped in at Acqua to see if they had any availability in their schedule, as my left shoulder had been sore for quite some time. A half hour later, I was in a very clean room, on the massage table, and in the very capable hands of Judy. Fast forward an hour, and I was rejuvenated and relaxed.

As the title says, it was possibly the best massage I've ever had, and that IS saying something! I'll go back to Acqua regularly - friendly staff, very clean spa premises, and very reasonable rates ($100 / 60 minutes).
