Amazingly delicious food. I ordered the chorizo spiked codfish, with white onion, tomato, and piperade jus, and it was wonderful. The sauce was beautiful and really accented the fish and veggies. The fish itself was tender and warm.

Also had the hazelnut souffle and wow. You have to order it 20 minutes in advance, but it is worth the wait. It also came with a light orange sorbet. Really excellent dinner. I have to say it was the best dinner I've had in DC so far.

The restaurant is beautiful. High ceilings, dark roast coffee-colored beams, contemporary lamps and furniture, and well-dressed servers and waiters waltzing around. The overall atmosphere and setting is very intimate, quiet, and exudes class.

Additionally, service was great. Our waitress was attentive and everything came out in an orderly fashion and there wasn't much of a wait between dishes (except the dessert, but it said on the menu to please allow 20 minutes anyways). It's a bit pricey, but I think it's certainly worth it.

I dined for lunch in the bar area outside the main dining room for Restaurant Week. The hotel and bar are beautiful and very classy. I started off with the Pumpkin Ravioli which were quite delicious. For entrees, they don't have a vegetarian option on the menu so they made a vegetable pot of grilled or baked vegetables. While the tastes were good and flavorful, it was not particularly exciting. The vacherin for dessert was delicious. The bartender gave friendly service though slow but I think that's probably the idea here to have a very relaxed experience. He seemed very knowledgeable on his spirits for the two people dining next to me. Overall pretty decent, but I'm not feeling any excitement from the experience.

David Rockwell's interior alone makes it worth the visit, but the food and wine seals the experience. Total professionals who serve you the highest standards experience that I will remember. You can't go wrong here.

Outstanding food, attentive and courteous service in a beautiful space. Great wine by the glass selection with excellent values and knowledgeable servers. The tasting menu is well designed, delicious, and reasonably priced for the neighborhood.

The bar is excellent, the wine list quite good. The food was somewhere between four and five stars. While very well executed, it was not exactly inspiring. If I could give a half star more I would -- really, a very nice meal, perfect service, a well thought out wine list, and you can hear your table mate.
