I really liked this place (great quality, convenient location), but after their reopening after their remodel, their prices went up considerably... and their sandwiches no longer include a side.

Super decent place for a quick lunch. My favorite dish here is the tuna sandwich. I love that they add some healthy ingredients into it and its got this mild pickly taste to it. The portion choice is perfect for splitting into 2 and eating over the day.

They also have a pretty sweet salad bar option - love the lentils and the field roast vegetables. Sometimes I usually come here to get a supplementary salad to my lunch.

They have this DMV-number-ticker system to get in line during lunch hours. Wish they'd move things faster.

They also have this grocery store in there with some awesome italian pastries, pastas and sauces.

A.G. offers great sandwiches. I highly recommend the #11 with proscuitto and mozzarella. They #17 with pork loin and TRUFFLE butter is also delicious. Both are on their focaccia which is really good.

Aside from sandwiches they also have premade sides and sell specialty items like cheese, pasta sauce, truffle honey and salt, etc.

Great lunch spot. Fair price for Downtown/Financial district--about 10 bucks for a sandwich and a side (mac salad please!). The location is great because you can either post up and enjoy some sidewalk seating, or take it across the street to Yerba Buena Park. The food is great and you can get pretty much any sandwich you want, with an Italian flair to it.

All of that is well and good, but the reason I wrote this review is because of the woman who works there, Bekah. Not only great service, but she was genuinely happy to be there. Smile on her face, quick one liners, funny....and made one hell of a sando. We need more people like Bekah. Keep up the good work and I will be coming back.

"Everything looks so appetizing" at this specialty-market mini-chain, which flaunts an "impressive selection" of "excellent" "gourmet" goods imported from Italy or sourced from local purveyors, including "artisanal cheeses", salumi, pastas, sauces, wines and prepared foods like "delicious sandwiches"; it's "a bit expensive", but "enticing" displays tended by "helpful" staffers ready with "suggestions" make it hard to leave without a bagful.
