Wish I could have actually had the food and seen what all the hype is about since I've been dying to eat here for years... but the reviews I've read say it's not that great and I'm glad I missed out on the "experience."
For my anniversary/Valentine's Day dinner with my fiance, we made reservations online through their website, which brought us to OpenTable. I made the mistake of thinking their hours of operation would be up-to-date on OpenTable so I could make a reservation when they're open. I made a reservation for 4:30 pm on a Saturday. We drove through a snowstorm for an hour just to get to downtown Akron and try to find parking and then freeze for 10 minutes walking to the restaurant. We finally get there and it's closed. Doors locked, everything. We look at their hours posted and it says they open at 5 pm. WHAT THE HECK.
We trudged our way back to the car so we can actually see our phones without our hands freezing to them. We looked up the number and called them to tell them we made reservations at 4:30 pm. They said "why would you do that we're not even open." Well, because it was a time available on OpenTable, which you use to make your reservations. "Well we're completely booked the entire night, sorry." Gee, thanks. You can't even try to fit us in? It's kinda your fault. "Nope, sorry. Bye." Okay great. Time to find another place!
We ended up going to Bricco a few blocks away and it was the best meal I've had in a long time. Definitely made my entire night 100% better and I will never be eating at Crave ever. Looks like I'm a loyal customer to Bricco now, which probably has better food and isn't as expensive to be honest!

This could be the best restaurant in Cleveland and Akron and I've eaten at most of them. Had the brisket and it was over the top GREAT! I told the GM that their brisket was almost as good as Franklin's in Austin which is considered the best on the planet. There is absolutely nothing I didn't like about Crave so I give it a great big RAVE!

I work half a block from this restaurant and often grab a meal when I am on the evening shift. They can always accommodate me in the limited time I have. Although they are pricey, I don't mind when I get great food. I am not adventurous so I have not tried a lot of the menu. I recommend the Angus burger (my toss up for the best burger anywhere - I have another favorite elsewhere.) The Steak Skewers appetizer fills me up, The grilled cheese and tomato soup are the best ever. My friends have recommended the crab cakes, the catfish po'boy and the smoked gouda mac and cheese. This place is great and after 6:00 PM or on weekends, the parking deck across the street is free.

Good food and a good beer and wine selection. Friendly service too! Short walk to the parking deck and the Akron Art Museum.

First off, the price of the food out weighs the quality. I am not saying this is a bad place its just over priced for what they give you. i had Roasted ½ Chicken, Garlic Herb Marinade, Yellow Potatoes, Poblano Butter $21. It did no leave up to the required wait or price. I will try it again because every raves over the macaroni and cheese.
