07/22/2015 12:53 amAmazing and authentic Italian. While on a trip to DC with the family, we found this intimate spot near the hotel. Walked I without a reservation and was blown away. I had handmade parpadelle with a delicious mushroom ragu. O_o |

12/11/2014 3:15 pmFour for early dinner.Cozy, empty and attentive service.0rdered a 90 dollar wine and was charged 160.One of the specials was veal roast. Two of us ordered the veal....do not neglect To ask price of specials.....price will not be mentioned by the server. The veal was rolled into a wheel shape and served with a sauce. The offering was so thin you could read thro it.Half was fat and it was so over done it was a struggle to cut. The waiter asked how we liked our dinner and I told him it was grossly over cooked. He then asked if he could replace it with something else.....kudos to the waiter, but we declined. Called when I got home and spoke to the waiter about over charge on the WINE which was immediately corrected. This place came highly recommended for its food. 2 risottos,i salad,1 wine,1 duck 2 veal 300.00. Quality of food....DON'T GO. |

07/21/2014 5:58 pmI was disappointed - at first, the service was good, and the waiters (I think I had David) were well informed about the menu and the ingredients. Later, I ordered pasta with clams, and ended up getting sick and throwing up a bad clam in the men's room. I mistakenly thought that they would comp the dish. They didn't. I won't return. |

06/12/2014 9:27 pmThere is a reason Al Tiramisu has been voted the best Italian restaurant outside of Italy for several years in a row by the Italian Restaurant Association, it is that good. It's small so reservations are highly recommended. The fish is their speciality and they fly it in fresh from the Mediterranean. The preparation is pretty simple for most fish dishes, grilled with lemon and olive oil, but it's fantastic. The pasta is also great as it is made in house daily. Try the portabello mushroom appetizer topped with Chevre. |

11/22/2015 6:45 pmBeautifully prepared Italian meals, bursting with flavor and delivered with charm, make this intimate cellar off Dupont Circle fill up fast; wonderful fresh seafood is its specialty, but making guests feel extra welcome is probably the main reason it's a standby. |
