06/28/2015 6:53 amRidiculously over due review for Alan Wong's. Came here a few years back. Amazing choice to have our one "fancy" vacation dinner here. Staff was friendly and had the aloha hospitality. Food was amazing! We each did the tasting menu with wine pairing. Our favorite to date was the ginger crusyed fish. Not sure what wine they paired it with but it was also our favorite. A bit sweet and went very well with the fish! I also can't leave out that they personalized our menu's with our anniversary on them and was able to take them home as a keepsake from our vacation. It's the little touches that will get me back there again. Can't wait to visit again the next time I go to Oahu! |

05/25/2015 4:25 amFood was great but experience was terrible. Had a reservation but was left waiting 40 minutes to sit. Waiting area was terrible -- only 2 seats for everyone. Freezing cold the whole time we were dining. It was nice outside just turn off the AC. |

03/19/2015 12:54 pmAlan Wong's has the most AMAZING and creative pacific seafood cuisine on Oahu (IMHO). Don't be fooled by the nondescript office-block venue! When we visited in 2005, we were so impressed with the place that we dined there three times in two weeks with the entire family (including cousins). YES, keiki (child) friendly, naturally. This is the place to go and splurge when in Honolulu. (sadly Chef Wong's Amasia resto in the Waldorf-Astoria resort on Maui has since closed, but that place was equally a pan-asian foodie's Heaven!) |

03/12/2015 12:13 amThe food was amazingly delicious with elegant presentation and outstanding service was icing on the cake. The tuna appetizer dish with guacamole is the best tuna dish I've ever had in my life!! (...and I've eaten a lot of tuna dishes!!) |

08/11/2015 1:33 amA pioneer in Hawaii Regional cuisine, chef Alan Wong continues to innovate, plating up the best of local farms and island seas at this McCully nirvana, perennially rated one of Oahu's most popular restaurants; the exceptionally prepared food boasts brilliant flavors and the wine list is top-notch, and it's all expertly presented by a smart staff versed in every culinary nuance; if a few quibble that it lacks panache, most agree it's the dining highlight of the island. |
