11/10/2013 9:08 pmThis is a nicely-decorated restaurant in the train station facility. The chips & salsa were better than what one typically gets. I had the Steak Fajita Plate, which came with yellow, medium-grain rice (which I thought was rather mealy), a good bean soup, tasty steak, and all the accoutrements. This food wasn't bad, but I found it a bit dull. I guess it's worth checking out, though. RJT |

10/26/2012 4:22 pmI have eaten here twice and have enjoyed my food. The fish tacos are great, although I had the chips and salsa last time and my tooth broke in half on a chip! They are very hard, to say the least. Place is always quiet which is nice, but I wish they were open for dinner. |

06/19/2011 6:09 amAldaco's hosted my carefully budgeted wedding, Based on some of these reviews, I was concerned. I'm hispanic and was worried the food wouldn't be authentic tasting, but it was in a great location and it was within what we could pay...I didn't have to be so worried, though. The food was great! The tortillas were homemade, the buffet setup was clean, looked nice, and plentiful! A lot of people got second servings. Everything was perfect. I called so many places for reasonable prices, and everyone charged more just because I had an event. I was married at Marriage Island downtown, and Aldaco's even did a courtesy shuttle for all our guests to the restaurant at no cost! We had fun pictures on that shuttle. And no ridiculous fees for a wedding cake they didn't make, and minimal fees for the toast! Most of all, everything was decorated simply, yet perfectly, and the brick in the depot made a wonderful background for photos, as well as their outdoor area with its beautiful arches. I literally cried, everything was so perfect. Tara Valdez was the event manager...contact her. And request Albert to be the main waiter...EXCELLENT! That man gave us his entire attention and immediately responded to requests, And the shuttle driver made me feel like a princess...Aldaco's, thank you so very much for making my wedding day so beautiful, and still leaving us some dough for a nice honeymoon. We will forever be thankful for the great memories we were able to have. -Martha Long |

07/30/2010 7:55 pmA group of ten attempted to eat lunch here. We did make a reservation and the only good thing I can say is that our table was ready upon arrival. Waitress did make a good effort to offer good service. I ordered the chicken a la parilla. Chicken had good flavor and was tender, rice was dry, no flavor and under cooked, beans were sour and needless to say unedible. Wait time was extremely long, long enough that we had to eat our food in less than five minutes in order to get back to work. We even had co-workers that left without eating. We were never offered refills on our drinks, tortillas or even an opportunity to order dessert. No one ever even came around to see if we needed anything, needless to say we won't be eating lunch here again and we will never recommend it to anyone else. |
