Alexanders Restaurant, Portland, Oregon Restaurant Details

Food:

Worse experience ever. Stayed on Sat the 12th and it was bad. First off they charged us $245 with taxes for a double standard beds on the 4th floor. Don't have ice on the floor, don't have much of a vending machine. The room wasn't that clean. However, when I looked at my bill it was $290 because they hold money in case. When I asked about this the man down stairs (french accent) was rude, and just didn't care about my concerns. Then when I checked out, I told him about all the problems we had, and he just said whatever.

When I called down stairs to ask about cabs outside, if they can call or are they there, the woman told me come down and check for myself and hung up on me. Plus, you have to pay extra for Internet.

For the dang price you would think that they would have better personalities, plus help their guest. I will never stay at this hotel again.

I would go to Motel 6 before this one. Disappointed!!! If anyone wants to stay there I feel sorry for you.

Food:

Our new favorite downtown Portland Hotel. Most hotels downtown have very small crowded lobbys. Not the Hilton. Love being able to go straight to my room and opening my door with my phone as well. Staff was very courteous during our stay. Beautiful city view from the room. We did not dine on site.

Food:

Dinner at Hop City for Portland Dining Month. Food was okay/mediocre, except for the bread pudding which was amazing. The service though... Super slow. Like, painfully slow, and they weren't busy enough to justify it. We didn't even get bread during the ~20 wait for the first course.

It alsowasn't clear were the host stand was, so people had to just aimlessly walk in/around and hope someone on the wait staff would notice and seat them. Just seemed pretty weird and not organized at all.

Also the rectangular plates are too small and dumb for any substantial entree to be eaten without slipping off.

Food:

Great central location, nice clean room and comfortable bed. Staff was very friendly and attentive. The door to the room was very thin however like it was made from balsa wood. Which didn't give me a good sense of security from theft or temporarily block a fire.

Food:

Superb service at the front desk. The gym facilities were great and breakfast was perfectly cooked. The room was in the main tower and even there I had a nice view if the city and a comfortable bed. The bathroom was a little on the small side but had enough room for me. Definitely a top hotel in Portland, I will probably stay there every time I return.
