Alfonso's manages to have ambiance and class with a completely renovated dining room and attentive staff, while maintaining a "mom and pop" Italian feel with a pithy menu and timeless taste. Our servers, Brandi and Penny, were intelligent, and knew the menu very well.

Peter always serves up good food. I enjoy the hands on neighborhood feel and the new remodel. Chicken picata is definitely a dish to order. I've been going here for years, no wonder it has been around a long time

They have great pizza, probably the best in the neighborhood. Highly recommended for pizza!

I want to start of by saying this is the first time I've Visited this establishment and it'll defiantly be the last. I ordered at 10:45 am (fifteen minutes before they opened) the girl who answered was very nice and that's about all was. I placed an order for lasagna (mushy and gross) we added linguine and cream sauce with sausage (old and bland, cream sauce was dirty tasting) two orders of shrimp scampi and here is where it gets interesting. I've had shrimp scampi more times than I can count, but never had the shrimp cooked separate and the pasta have red sauce on it. The shrimp tasted like they where about a week passed their sell by date (I worked as a assistant chef for a while so I am familiar with what bad shrimp taste like) and this made the pasta (with a bland tomato sauce, like out of a can plain tomato sauce) taste very bad. The pasta was over cooked, wich is just pitiful (who hired a chef for an Italian restaurant who can't cook pasta)? The one decent item was the crab claws we had, and the free rolls. I do not recommend this to anyone as the $68.00 disgusting lunch I purchased for my crew ruined what was supposed to be "Free Lunch Friday". Clean and nice inside, I just wish the food was as good as the place looked. Good luck if you decide to go, I hope this helps save someone's dinner.

The food was cold, the service slow, and the kids that are servers never came back to ask if we needed anything else after they delivered our entrees.

Not a great experience! I think I will find a new Italian place to eat...
