09/01/2015 1:44 pmHad the Cajun Crab. The Crab was delicious and fresh. But the cajun style curry was horrible. It was so salty that I felt like puking. It was absolutely inedible. When spoke with manager, she said that's how they make cajun crab with excessive salt and offered to serve a new one but she said that even the next one will be salty. Unbelievable. They actually feel proud to serve inedible meal. The restaurant was classy and good atmosphere. The clam chowder was delicious. |

09/01/2015 5:04 amThe food was not very good. It was pricey with well dressed and kind staff but the food was not good..also this is a bad neighborhood..me and my fiancé had our rental car broken into and all of our luggage and thousands of dollars in wine stolen from our car and about 15 other cars on the same block had the same thing hapen..the area was well lit and a block from the restaurant and in front of the Hyatt and the holiday Inn and suites..the police said they wouldn't do anything bc San Francisco is going through an unprecedented crime spree since he passing of proposition 47 has allowed otherwise felonies like breaking and entering car jacking robbing a misdemeanor and only if the criminal has committed violent or sexual based offenses they go free within a day and pay a fine |

08/17/2015 8:29 amWe waited over 45 mins for our prawn cocktail, when it arrived it was merely a lettuce leaf filled with prawns, a lemon slice and tomato ketchup as a dipping sauce. As soon as we had finished this was whisked away as our entrees were served. My risotto was watery and tasteless, the three fish combo arrived served on salty mash nothing else on the plate. Extremely disappointed as we had looked forward to a good fish meal in San Francisco. Couldn't wait to leave. |

07/05/2015 10:52 pmWe have always looked forward to our trips to San Francisco because we knew that before the weekend (Friday & Saturday) our reservations were already made. Something just changed on this last trip. On our first night, we always celebrate by having Lobster Thermidor, a real nice bottle of wine and creme brulee for dessert. This time my husband and I were both taken back of how the attention and detail had been lost....made me feel like we were eating in a chain restaurant instead of a family owned and family tradition. What happened???? The Lobster Thermidor looked like it was old and they just put it under the broiler to heat it up and......dry it out. The creme brulee did not have a crisp, glazed crust to break through before you have the custard....I thought that was part of the creme brulee??!!! What happen to presentation Alioto's?? $200.00 plus and this is what we got. Disappointing |
