12/25/2009 2:46 amWhat a waste my time and gas to get to this joint. We have a 6:00 p.m. reservation, at 8:15 p.m. we still haven't been served! What's the problem? It's not like the place is extremely croweded or anything and we placed our orders almost two hours ago. But for some reason, no food is being served to anyone in our room, and we've all been there since about 6:00 p.m. We ask several times, very politely, and, IF we can get anyone from the wait staff to even acknowledge our existence, we get one excuse or another, "just waiting on the whatever dish, problem in the kitchen, yada yada yada." Problem in the kitchen? No s&*t Sherlock! After sitting there for 2-1/4 hours with nothing but bread and water, I called it quits. Just my luck, it's Christmas Eve and by this time, I can't even find a McDonalds that's open. So thanks a bunch folks -- I'm going to bed hungry tonight. But if your food is anything like your service, I'm probably much better off! |

09/30/2009 7:21 pmThis wonderful neighborhood restaurant serves delicious food and offers impeccable service from a staff of waiters who have been there for years. Everything from the pasta to the veal osso bucco is consistenly cooked to perfection. The old European atmosphere only enhances the dining experience. Definitely a place to try if you like Italian food and find yourself in Arlington. |

11/17/2007 5:24 amWhile the menu presented a wonderful selection of Northern Italian specialties, the meal was far below par. All three courses were served below temperature. The veal scallopini Milanese ($21) was tough and undercooked. The lemon and butter sauce was oily, soaking what should have been a delightful combination of the crispy pan-fried fillet and its tart topping. The side of pasta was watery (half of the serving bowl was steeped in water) and the meat sauce lacked flavor. The marinara was without any distinguishing flavor; it might as well have been canned Ragu. Our waiter neither checked in on the quality of our meal nor presented us with an accurate check. |
