I had a terrible nightmare because of this restaurant, AM Thai Bistro.

My wife and I went to this restaurant on November 6th 2014. I ordered the shrimp avocado and my wife ordered the yellow curry. While we were eating, my wife found a big piece of hard plastic in the food, 1.2inch (3cm) . We were very dismayed. 2 minutes after, my wife could not breathe well, she was choked. There was another piece of plastic in her throat. There were at least two pieces of plastic. My wife and I went to the Maimonides emergency center directly. A doctor did x-ray and endoscope tests and the doctor told me the piece of plastic scraped inside of her throat. My wife still has a trauma when she eats. This restaurant have not reimbursed the money we had to pay because of this accident. I know contacts of the manager of this restaurant, but she rejects my phone calls and does not answer my emails. She is avoiding her responsibilty to reimburse for our loss, using the fact that my wife and I are not in U.S. now. It is impossible to put a piece of plastic in your food if you take care a little at least.

I am very sure that employees of this restaurant do not have a sense of hygiene at all by my horrible experience.
Please, do not go to this restaurant unless you want to be choked and go to the emergency center.

Drunken noodles are addicting and the Thai iced tea is amazing. Everyone is always friendly and the alcohol drinks are perfect. Love love love.

++++
- I'm a massaman curry fanatic and this is my favorite of any Thai place
- Two words: Shrimp Avocado #enoughsaid

+++
- Setting, although it's takeout Thai, the ambiance makes it for a nice date spot or sit down lunch

++
- Love the duck, add it to anything and it's like adding awesomeness
- Mango sticky rice is perfect, should be the prototype for mango sticky rice
- Large portions
- Duck salad has a high duck:lettuce ratio

+
- Thai ice tea is good
- Thai iced coffee is good too, but takes some getting used to

Great venue, friendly staff and amazeballs food. We were 6 people got about 8 appetizers, a main course per person and 2 drinks each and the tab was 30$ a person. Can't beat that for quality food and a nice atmosphere. The dining room is small so call ahead!.

With generous portions of wonderful Thai staples, these local Brooklyn standouts appease Siamese cravings at reasonable rates; the Ditmas Park branch offsets tiny dimensions with welcoming service, while the seatless, cash-only Kensington outlet dispenses absolutely great takeout.
