THIS IS THE WORST RESTAURANT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. MY WORST NIGHTMARE.

My husband and I went today,not even 10 minutes ago. He is white,and I am Mexican,so I chose to come here. I don't usually write reviews but I felt compelled to do so on this occasion. Amaya's Restaurant does not have a hostess,which is fine,so you just sit anywhere. The waitress took 10 minutes to bring us out menu. We shrugged it off as them just being busy,despite the fact that there was LITERALLY just two other tables with customers. I saw the waitresses just standing about,chatting.

After we received the menu, we ordered our drinks from the little variety they have. After we received our drinks,we found a fried fish fin in our "salsa". The chips were stale. We ordered two burritos. Nothing else.

The burritos took 45 minutes to arrive!! Who takes 45 minutes to make two burritos? When they came,they were COLD. The tortilla was undercooked, the fajita cold as well. The rice was greasy and old. The salsa was literally made of water,vinegar and spices.

We were given no untensils to even scoop out the salsa, or eat our gross burritos. I called the waitress in Spanish, and my husband in English. She IGNORED us completely. My husband had to get up and ask them to bring us some utensils.

We didn't even finish our burritos. They just were too disgusting. Our apetite was ruined.

A waitress came by another 20 minutes later, and I asked for the ticket. Take note, that this entire time, I am being polite as I don't like to be rude, but it was just too much. We spent 30 minutes, looking every now and then at our phone,because my husband had to work. I just stormed off and told him to just get up and go pay at the front.

I have been to bad restaurants,but this one just took the cake. Don't waste your time visiting this poor excuse for Mexican food. You are better off microwaving burritos from Wal-Mart.

GUESS HOW MUCH IT WAS FOR TWO BURRITOS,TWO DRINKS, NO REFILLS??? 21.00!!!

I usually go here when I want a couple of tacos and a drink for lunch but this time i called in my order since i usually have to wait a long time for tacos to be made on my lunch break...when i got there they were not made yet nor were they made the way i wanted and then the lady at the counter didn't offer to fix them instead i was told they could not change them because they were already wrapped to go and they didn't want to throw away the corn tortillas and replace them with the flour that i wanted. I ended up having to BUY a 4 pack of flour tortillas that turned out to be hard and burned. Then i ordered the guacamole WITHOUT tomatoes and it still had tomatoes in it. The meat in the tacos were cold. I ordered a large horchata and it tasted so old like it had went bad. This was not a good experience at all, may never go there again. PS the customer service was horrible and the ladies had horrible attitudes and i was never an upset customer when i was there, i just took everything with a smile. :(
