Amazona's Pizza, Oakland, California Restaurant Details

Absolute diamond in the rough! You would never guess what a wonderful place this is with the area of town it is in. My wife and I were completely taken by surprise as to how tasty this pizza was. This is the best pizza I've ever had. We didn't take any home. We ate it all. It is completely family-owned. The family that owns it is all from Brazil. You can tell they love each other and love working with each other and love preparing pizza. Definitely check it out if you are in town!

I paid for a pizza to be delivered to someone three nights in a row. I discovered that there had been a charge on the fourth night. One I did not order. I contacted my bank, they investigated, and I won the case. Doesn't make me feel terribly good about Amazona's. Sorry to say.

Not worth it. Well, the delivery was on time but the pizza wasn't worth the price at all. The sauce was good but the crust tasted just like box it came in.

I'd heard good things so I was truly disappointed. If you want pizza go to pizza love. it's crap pizza for a crap price. better than paying expensive price for crap pizza.

I lived above this place and would come down for a couple of slices right before closing sometimes, but I always found the pizza to be a little too "reheated"-tasting. The sauce was often dry and the crust was cafeteria-style. The staff are cool and give pizza to the crackheads at the end of the night, but would often leave the building for 10 minutes at a time so you never knew if you'd be able to order or not. There are a bunch of cool drawings from customers inside that add to the ambiance, but the place has a waiting room vibe so I'd usually order to go.
