12/29/2010 7:59 pmDon't waster your money or your time. This was our first time ordering from Ambrosia Cafe and they messed up the order from the very beginning! They offer delivery and when I called to place the order it took 10-15 minutes just to place the order because the girl didn't know any of the items on the menu and didnt know where the buttons were to input my order, she told me it would be an hour for delivery and I decided I would wait and went ahead with the order. When the order arrived the delivery man was very nice but failed to deliver two out of four of the entrees I ordered, so two of my family members went without their meal, and we were forced to share what little we could eat from the rest of the food that was delivered. I checked the rest of the order and everything was super cold. The food seemed like it was made right when I placed the order and just sat in the delivery man's car or on a table with nothing to keep the food warm. I had three separate orders of fries and they were all cold and stale, two of the sandwiches I ordered were missing, and I ordered a shish kabob entree which came with lentil soup, and the lentil soup felt like it came straight out of a refridgerator because it was so cold. the shish kabob entree came with rice, and I expected it to come with basmati rice because it is a Mediterranean dish and instead it came with what tasted like Uncle Ben's Minute Rice and it was cold and tasted disgusting, the Kabobs were cold as well. I also ordered the hummus platter and it tasted like it was right out of the fridge, i've been to a few middle eastern and mediterranean restaurants in town and none have served it ice cold. I also ordered Baklava and it was ice cold, gooey, and very soggy, we ended up throwing it out. So out of all the food that was delivered, the baklava, rice, lentil soup, and three orders of fries, were thrown out. I called to complain and the lady apologized and took the sandwiches off my bill, but that doesn't compensate for the fact that our dinner was ruined, all of our food was cold, most of our food was inedible, and we had to wait an hour for our food and they still didn't get the order right! Then she offered me 20% off my next order like I would ever order from them again. I strongly urge whoever is considering to eat at this place to choose somewhere better, Don't waste your time! Seriously. |

04/30/2008 9:54 pmA disappointing venture onto the flip-side of their menu that features Mediteranean foods like Lentil soup, Baba Ghanouj, and Falafel. Food is very inexpensive but lacks creativity. |
