Recently took an older colleague here. I had spoken highly of the place; the beer and sausage lived up to the expectations, but the bartender was very rude. Normally the place gives of a vibe that caters to both older and younger generations. They were blasting offensive rap music over the speakers and my older friend asked the bartender about it (as in, "hey, I gotta ask you about this music..."). The bartender told us to leave if we didn't like it. Not the kind of response that keeps you coming back.

Small, open air warehouse brewery on N Mississippi and Beech. Full bar and excellent craft beers brewed on site such as Copacetic and Desolation IPA are staples of this N Portland neighborhood. Tables inside, bar seating, as well a large covered front patio with picnic tables make it one of the best summer hangout spots. Patio is also pet friendly. Small food menu consists mostly of burgers and sausages, all cooked right out front on an outdoor grill. Recently, Amnesia announced that they are moving to Washougal, WA and have already begun operation at a larger brewing space, allowing them to make more beer with the hopes of eventually bottling or canning. While the Amnesia will be sorely missed, another upstart brewery plans to take over the spot, upgrade the building, and brew their own craft beer. I hope and look forward to seeing Amnesia on the beer store shelves in the near future.

This is definition Brew Pub. Located in the Mississippi district of NE Portland, this quaint brewpub offers some of the BEST micro beer in Portland. In a city known by it's love local brewers, this place takes the cake. My favorite beer by far is their Desolation IPA, top that off with a tall pint glass of Gold Fish crackers (the snack that smiles back) and you got yourself a good time. Need another perk besides the Gold Fishes? They are constantly BBQ delicious concoctions outside under the covered tent area. Delicious food and better beer, need I write more?

I liked the large covered patio, and the laid-back atmosphere, though too many smokers made it difficult to enjoy. The beers are decent but nothing special. Didn't try any of the food. Might give it another shot.

Amnesia has one of the best patios in Portland. It's a good thing too because it's mostly patio. Though the inside has plenty of room. It's all about the patio & their beers. This brewpub serves some quality beers. My standby is their Copacetic IPA but they also always have a couple seasonals on tap that are always very good. Food is bare bones, Sausages grilled on patio is the extent of the menu.
