Went there last night 2/28/15 to see Bilal,Eliah& Eric Roberson. The sound was great and the bartender was friendly. I stood right up front for the entire show which is what i expected for general admission. No problems for me.

The absolute worst layout of any live venue bar I've ever been to... a narrow stage front (literally 25 ft across), attendees are like cattle that can't move, bar on right side is worthless when it's packed so must go to the rear of the venue to get drinks (and you will never see your spot again, even if friends are holding it), parking (or lack there of) is the worst of ANY venue I've ever seen... the surrounding business's prey on attendees with towing companies and security guards charging hefty amounts to remove wheel locks from your car. Don't waste your time or your money... even if it's a band you love. Truth!

Took my 8 year old to see R5 (the lead singer is the star of Disney Channel show Austin & Ally). The venue is a long tunnel with the stage at the front, it was general admission show but I was counting on getting there early and going to the balcony.

We secured a great spot for us in the balcony along the front railing--there were huge speakers that hung from the ceiling, so we had an almost entirely OBSTRUCTED VIEW. I'm not sure if it was the band's equipment or the venue's but there should be a work around for that, right?

Second issue, NO air conditioning. It was SWELTERING. The show was September 7th so it was a warm night.

Third issue, there are about 3 stalls in the ladies room with one out of order.

I would not see a show at Amos' again. By the way, R5 were really adorable and played their hearts out -- it's too bad we were looking at SPEAKERS.

Amos' is an awesome venue for a show. It is like our 2nd home, we go there so much! The staff treats us like family. We have never had a bad experience there. Free parking across the street is very convenient. We recommend it all the time to our friends. Very easy to locate and prices of drinks are very reasonable. Anytime I go anywhere else, they are always more expensive. Always a great time!! Thank you Amos'!!!

I saw Tom Keifer of Cinderella at Amos' a couple weeks ago. One of the best concerts I have ever seen performance wise and quality of sound. Don't understand people who say the room does not have the best sound in Charlotte. You either have tin ears or your standing under the speakers. Staff is always pleasant as long as you don't act like an ass.
Website is very informant if you take time to read it.

Shows of all kinds come through this South End music club, from national acts and indie artists to tribute bands to extreme midget wrestling (seriously). Drinks flow quickly and cheaply in the no-frills bi-level space where die-hard music lovers know to snag spots close to the stage.
