Anaheim Marriott, Anaheim, California Restaurant Details

Food:

We checked in on 10/4/15. The lobby very nice, the room not so much. The bathroom was very small, hardly room to dry your hair, no exhaust fan and peeling pain on the ceiling. We stayed 3 nights because they had been prepaid. The first morning we noticed the hot water was okay for taking a shower, but took a long time to recover, the next two mornings we had no hot water. We called the front desk and were told they had a boiler problem, it was fixed, so to just keep the hot water on until it got hot (we were on the 10th floor). The water never really got hot, just warm enough for one shower, which started to turn cold at the end. I never got a hot shower after the first morning. Even Motel 6 has hot showers, refrigerators and microwaves.

So my boyfriend and I went to this hotel for the convention this weekend (Anime California). At the convention we bought a lot of anime/video game merchandise. There was a mixup between us being checked out and checked in, and the maid cleaned our room thinking we were checked out. At the time we had all of our merchandise we bought in the room. Some in a brown bag that was open (you can clearly see posters coming out of it), and some in a pokemon tote bag. There was also a Pokemon stuffed animal on the bed. When we came back into the room everything we had bought was gone and I mean gone. We went to the front desk and they checked where all our things went. The maid said she "threw our stuff away" that was all the stuff in the bags. But who would throw away a bag clearly full of merchandise and a pokemon tote bag with merchandise in that too. The pokemon on the bedding was missing to so at this time we are waiting to see if the maid washed the pokemon stuffed animal with the bedding,but if she threw that away too then there's just something wrong with this situation.

(The hotel did give us $300 credit to the room for the stuff, but the pokemon stuffed animal on the bed we brought with us and it had a it of sentimental value to my boyfriend since he had it since he was young)

Staff was decent but uninformed about hotel policy. Be prepared to check your bill and ask for clear answers with a manager. Had more than one issue and the staff was not helpful. I had to manager up a couple of times.

Food:

Loved the rooms with the wood floors and large spa-inspired bathrooms. Pet friendly a big plus. Location and view Great! Service inattentive and snobbish is my criticism.

This hotel exceeded expectations; it is clean and appears well-maintained. We had food in the lounge and it was delicious; in addition, the room service breakfast was excellent.

Therese at the front desk gave me a nice hand-written card for my birthday, along with chocolate covered strawberries, and champagne--all delivered to the room. That was really great touch to the already great experience.

I recommend this hotel, and we will be back.
