06/29/2015 12:46 amIt's hard to believe that this little hole in the wall can remain consistently great and survive the deluge of restaurants that come and go throughout the city. |

01/13/2015 12:18 pmThe restaurant was all that it was cracked up to be. Nice service, food and crowd. I felt the tables were a bit too close with the diner who was seated next to our table-her chair was rubbing up against our table. Not good for either of us. |

01/12/2015 10:07 pmFood is great there if you like seafood as they don't have much else. Not a lot of choices but they are all pretty good. The service is good. Reasonable prices given the fresh seafood. The biggest downside is there is usually a long wait for a favor say dinner times weekday or weekend. |

12/16/2014 4:14 pmExcellent seafood restaurant in SF. Might be my new favorite. Be prepared to wait tho, there's a list outside you can put your name on. A wine bar is across the street if you don't want to wait outside. |

11/17/2014 4:35 pmIf you haven't tried this historic landmark, you must add it to your list of places to dine. Everything from the staff to the food was simply outstanding. Our server, Roberto, was professional and charming. The view from our booth was amazing as well. I highly recommend Anchor Oyster Bar to anyone---this place is genuine & unique--- not cookie cutter like a lot of chain restaurants around town. Great job Anchor Oyster Bar! |

09/20/2015 5:18 pmThis "cute" long-running oyster bar with a "nautical motif" is a "pearl in the dingy Castro" for Boston clam chowder and "simple" seafood "so fresh you'll swear it was made by the Little Mermaid"; "seating is tight" in the "tiny" space, but the "super-friendly" staff and "limited" list of local white wines ensure the "hungry hordes" leave "happy as clams." |
