I am in agreement with the last review. I took my husband last night for his birthday. We ordered the Solterito to start which was good. We also ordered a nice bottle of wine at this point the server was very attentive and the manager came by to see how everything was and to pour some wine for us. He mentioned that we were in for a treat. Once the entrees came out the server pop by once and ask how everything was, I had only had one bite of my meal and it seemed ok. My husband mentioned to the waiter that I liked spicy food and he had offered to make my dish spicy. I don't know if it was the extra spicy or what but I absolutely couldn't eat my meal. It was so salty and disgusting. After my fouth micro bite I gave up. The water pourer must have been by like ten times but we waited for over an hour for the server to come back. I saw him multiple times looking at our table but he didn't come back until the bus boy removed my virtually uneaten plate. I had a migraine at this point (probably from the salt and wine with out food) which is a shame because as I mentioned we got an expensive bottle of wine and I didn't have any dinner to eat with it. My husband overheard the manager ask our server if everything was ok on our way out. He said yes. I guess if you ignore someone or thing long enough the problem will go away. I order the vegetarian mushroom dish. The base is soy sauce so it's probably a salty dish to start. I wasn't sure how Peruvian that was but the server highly recommend to dish. Absolutely mistake. Horrible experience. I should have sent it back but my husband was done eating and we still hadn't had anyone come by the table. My meal was a total waste. And I'm sad bc I really would have loved to try some tasty food. I would say don't waste your money, time or tastebuds on this place. If they had just come back to the table so I could get something edible this may have been a very different review.

Wow, did these people eat at the same place I did? The food was mediocre at best....the Paella was a bowl-shaped lump of spiced rice with three overcooked sad mussels on the side. It was so salty that I could not even eat it. The waitress?....inattentive, walked towards our table looked right at the dishes I stacked and walked on. But the table next to us received constant service. When I told her the Paella was inedible her response was, "that happens sometimes from kitchen". The cooks don't taste the food? I cannot in good conscience refer to them as chefs because that was atrocious. Now let's talk about the gross rug on the wall with dust bunnies hanging over our table....seriously? Don't advertise at how amazing you are and then serve food that way with waitstaff that made our visit even more unpleasant.

The food and service is great but they keep raising prices which suckssssssssssss! I recommend:
Yucca Rellena - cheese filled yucca, the sauce is amazing
Mussles (can't remember the full name) - gawd the corn salsa is great!
Lomo Saltado - wow! Comes with yucca fries, yum!!
End your meal with some alfajores, just so awesome!!!!

If you've never visited Andina, you have to pay a local favorite. If you're looking for a tapas style menu or wanting to sample some excellent Peruvian flavors this is the spot for you!

The restaurant has a great ambiance, whether you're in the main area, downstairs in the street like setting, or in the bar. If you're stopping in for a drink only, I'd highly recommend the Caipirihna or Sacsayhuman.

Truly spectacular food, great atmosphere, attentive and helpful waitstaff, and well-mixed beverages.

I understand that some of the folks reviewing might want more quantity for the money, but some of us occasionally prefer attention to detail over an all-you-can-stuff buffet. This is a wonderful place to indulge that joy.
