I must admit when we first arrived we were worried since we were the only customers in the place at 8pm on a Saturday night but all worries were blown out of the water when the first drink arrived.

Raspberry Mojito was wickedly strong with a touch of raspberry and went down smoothly with crushed mint and just a hint of lime.

We ordered the artichoke puree which came with warm, crisp, grilled pita chips. Olive oil hugged the puree which was topped with a feta and black olive mixture. the salty, creamy mixture was a hint of the delectable treats to come.

Next came the ceviche. Hands down THE best ceviche we've ever had. Ever. So fresh and light and an extra surprise of fresh tuna sashimi on top. Served with Yucca chips the mixture of fresh seafood and lime was perfect. No tomato, no onion, and not piled with cilantro, this was the first time the seafood was the soloist in a ceviche and not second fiddle. I will never be satisfied with another ceviche again.

The calamari was brought to the table and we were dumbfounded at the flavor choices made. Nutmeg and cinnamon? Sounds disgusting with squid but boy were we wrong! The flavor of the calamari (which was cooked to perfection with no breading thank God) was out of this world. So light, fresh, non rubbery and the broccolini mixed in made this dish almost a full meal in itself.

The main courses were the yellowtail snapper (house specialty) and the feta encrusted lamb shank. The snapper was presented with an endive and onion slaw and served with a trace of pesto, lemon and butter. The fish was sturdy enough to stay on the fork but tender enough to literally melt in your mouth. I can see why it is a house specialty!

The lamb shank was generous in proportion atop a bed of orzo, cous-cous and vegetables with just a hint of feta. Cooked to perfection the meat was so tender, so juicy one only needed a fork to cut it!

We ended our culinary evening with pistachio ice cream atop a freshly baked sugar cookie. Cool, nutty and not too sweet it was the perfect ending to a perfect meal.

I cannot recommend this place enough. Amid the restaurants that claim to have the best, freshest seafood this place tells the truth.
