We did the rounds of the clubs and this is the BEST place to see up-and-coming indie bands in Columbus! They have a lot of touring bands from all over the country.

Tree Bar is a very cool hidden away spot. Looking at the outside you might never know there was a bar inside. Parking can be a pain in the area, and it tends to get crowded (it frequently features live music but its a pretty terrible venue for that) it is still worth checking out. A very cool atmosphere abounds inside and there is a pool table for entertainment as well as a nice deck out back.

Food:

AndyMan's Treehouse hasn't been the same since 2010 (RIP Andy), but the most recent owners have done a great job of preserving the aspects of the bar that made it such an attraction in Columbus' underground music scene as well as updating all the things that those same fans used to complain about.
Beer is now on tap! The plumbing has been fixed! The patio out back no longer looks like it might collapse at any moment!
There is still a little of the low down, nitty gritty feel of the original but today's iteration is very enjoyable and keeps me coming back.
