01/24/2016 10:24 pmThe namesake Anna (former partner in Thalia Spice) and her chef mom are behind this mod West Loop BYO serving an exhaustive menu of sushi and mixed Asian fare (Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese) plus lunch specials and weekend brunch; a Sputnik light fixture and recessed candle alcoves create romantic lighting amid exposed brick, wheel-inspired ceiling screens and black tablecloths. |

05/07/2014 7:48 pmCame here to celebrate Valentine's Day with my husband. The place was in chaos. They were doing a pre-fixe menu just for Valentine's Day to try to "simplify" things, as they put it themselves. But servers were running all over the place trying to get things sorted out across the various tables, and our food took a really long time to come out. They even attempted to seat a party of six in a space of four right next to us - meaning that they needed our seats to seat the entire party. We weren't completely ready to leave, but we didn't really have much choice. So two people stood there awkwardly while we waited to get our bill, pay, and leave. |

12/17/2013 7:17 pmThird time to this place and love the menu and the food. It was a great find and was one of the best new restaurants for us. Took a client there on October 17th for lunch and over the next 24hours, all five us became very sick. I personally was sick for 3 days, others less, but it was awful. The ladies in our group said the bathrooms were not very clean. |

10/21/2013 3:53 amOne of my friends took me to Anna's and it was like a hidden gem - I had no idea that this restaurant was here - I have driven by this restaurant many times and never noticed it. The ambiance is so cute! It's very warm and cozy with a trendy feel - exposed brick, a fireplace in the back of the restaurant...great place for a date or a girls night out in the West Loop. The service was great - our waiter was very attentive, and we were in and out. I had the yellow curry chicken, which was very tasty - I will be back! |

08/21/2013 8:29 pmI live in the West Loop and Anna's is on my "speed dial" for takeout sushi. The prices are slightly higher than other neighborhoods (it is the West Loop after all) but the fish is high quality and the rolls are always excellent. My favorite is the one with yellowtail and cilantro – an interesting but tasty combination. If you're on a budget, they're BYOB and also serve Thai food and modern Asian appetizers. |
