"Awesome burgers, fries and shakes" are the draw at this Dinkytown "landmark" overlooking the U of M campus – "a throwback to the beatnik era" that folks have "loved since college days"; not much has changed over the years, from the "affordable" prices for large portions and "service that leaves a little bit to be desired", to a "comfortable" atmosphere that's "fun for families."

Great place to come and grab burgers. The burgers are some of the best around. I always leave stuffed without having to break the bank

I remember it being so much cooler when I was in college. Maybe that's why I was underwhelmed. Food is OK. You probably go here for shakes and drinks though.

Called to see if their rooftop seating was open since it was the first day of October but still a nice 60+ degree day. The hostess said that the rooftop was open and said that they close at 11pm. My wife and I drove there and paid to park just to have the hostess tell us she closed the rooftop because other people got cold! We dressed for the weather and it was still a nice Minnesota day out. She still refused to seat us outside even those it was obvious that other people were just recently seated out there (they only had waters and empty malt glasses). Unbelievable that she was even a little rude about it, even though she remembered us calling and knows that was the main reason we were coming out. I’m sure I’ll be back but it won’t be for a while.

Costly. No miltary discount. Took an hour after orderibg to receive the meal. Restroom space is freaken joke.
