Anthony's In The Catalinas, Tucson, Arizona, Continental Restaurant Details

Food:

To underscore the Zagat quotations, it's definitely showing its age. I found the formal service offputting; it was unclear from whom to order what items.

The mains were well-prepared and exactly what I expected it to be, however the night's vegetables and starch were stodgy and uninspired. It seemed that the extra $10/plate over similar Tucson restaurants was there to cover the tower of plates used for everything!

Drinks were excellent.

At the end of the evening, the staff began to loosen up which was nice.

In summary, with our coupon, the meal was worth the price. If not for that discount, I would reserve Anthony's for drinks only.

The food was great and I was impressed by the service. It was worth the price to live it up, but didn't experience great view that everyone is talking about- dang, had to look at my husband instead.

2007 Sassicia try it. Love Anthony, if you really want to experience LIFE go to Anthony's. Birthday dinner with a top of the line cut steak, first class service, Mr. Martino's presence and a bottle of 2007 Sassicia. WOW. I must say it was the best bottle I have ever had, (and birthday). We travel a lot and eat at "wine" places often. I have never experienced anything like this. A wine collection worthy of his winning the Wine Spectator award for over 20 years. Dust on the bottles that is older than me. Thank you Anthony, I hope everyone appreciates your attention to detail and the results of your endless years of hard work. Me and my husband are forever fans and will come back every chance we can. My Review..... If you can drop a few hundred to a thousand on a special meal, go here and experience life the way it was meant to be. Even on a budget you can go but memorable moments that last a lifetime are worth every penny! Ask for the 07 Sassicia and see what I mean. You've never had your wine served like this in glasses so BIG!!!!

Went here last night and loved every bit of the night. We almost did not go because we read some yelp reviews, they talked about it was "to expensive" and it seamed that all the people who said that were using groupon (so how was it too expensive?), so we went anyways. After going I feel that those reviews are funny and it goes to show that not everyone should have a voice. Some people are just unhappy and think everything should be free. Im sure glad they did not ruin our night, after living here for 37 years I finally went to Anthony's and it was more than I expected. I highly recommend them for a special night out.

I ate here for Thanksgiving and Anthony made it special again! I love this place, of all Tucson Fine Dining this is the place I keep coming back to. It is nice to get what you pay for and not have the staff act like they are more well of than you. The food is amazing and service even better. In a small town like this we are lucky to have Anthony's in the Catalina's. I Manage a company and understand service, this place has it.
