When you walk in the service starts, stuck up door man, lady that takes your money rude. Guy that takes the tickets short. Second time we came in here from being out of town. Bartender sold two of my friends alcohol or something and we go outside to take a smoke break and we get told that we cannot bring them back in. Lady outside that works the door was very rude and called us names, and discriminated us at a club that is a gay club!! Never again will I support a club that discriminates and kicks people out for something they had caused.

AWFUL AND TERRIBLE
The bartenders are Nazi. I was the only one at the bar but it took the bartender about 10 minutes to stop chatting and get me a drink. Then she creepishly watched me all night and when I gave my friend (age 20) a single sip of my drink, she bartender had us thrown out.
The whole staff were such douchbags that it was almost funny.

terrible! i used to love going here all the time, but recently the security has been way too strict. i was kicked out on my birthday for 'appearing too intoxicated'. i had just gotten there and had only bought my first drink! they were incredibly rude and wouldn't even talk to me about it. just a straight forward 'get out'. like someone else said, they basically follow you around waiting for you to look like you're having too much of a good time and can't wait to kick you out. i used to love drag night (sat night), but now it goes on ALL NIGHT. it takes up all the dancing space. and like someone else said, security follows you into the bathroom! the security is just so tight, it borders on ridiculous. apex used to be a really fun place that i felt i could let go and be myself at, but apparently not anymore. SHAPE UP, APEX!

Eleven friends made it to Apex on 10/31/09 (Halloween!) for a night of fun and dancing, but after a couple of us were thrown out of the club for "appearing to be intoxicated," none of us are ever going back to that awful, awful place! What did our two friends do to raise suspicion? They sat down to take a break, and one of them started to doze off; he always does. The lady who threw them out was very rude. Besides using the "appearing to be intoxicated" line, she refused to elaborate, and when our friends asked for her name, she called security. They did not even let our friends look for us to let us know that they were being thrown out! The more that we think about it, the more convinced we are that Apex owes us at least a partial refund. We used to be frequent Apex customers, and we never, ever had this happened to us before at Apex or at any other club in the United States or at any of the various countries where we travel. Live&learn. We'll cherish our good "Apex" memories, but as far as we are concerned, we'd rather travel to the Hippo in Baltimore than step in Apex again.

Good sized dance floor however the drag shows last WAYYYYY too long. After an hour and a half of watching a repetitive drag show, I was ready to either dance or leave. The staff kept creepily following me and my friends around trying to catch us drinking underage )they even followed us into the BATHROOM). Then my friend (who had not had one drink because she was the DD for the night) tripped while she was walking up some stairs there and they told us we had to leave "because she appeared intoxicated." They wouldn't even give us a chance to repute them, they just made us leave. It was ridiculous. They were very rude; however on the way out they said, "this doesn't mean you aren't ever allowed here again, just not tonight." You couldn't pay me any amount under a hundred dollars to ever go there again. It was a bigger waste of my money than when i bought "6 second abs."
